Cheshire Oaks Retail Park 2023

We played at Cheshire Okas twice this year.  The weather was much warmer than last year - a balmy 5 degrees!

As it was so cold there was nothing to do but get on with it.  So here we are, playing away in a beautifully lit location,  looking like we are on a stage set for Noel Gallagher!

We had a couple of short breaks, just time to get a coffee which served the triple  purpose of warming both the insides and the fingers as well as giving an extra edge to concentration.

Perhaps too much coffee?  We couldn't resist the chance for a posed shot through the "Big O".

It rained on one of the days so we were set up, under cover, behind a giant red sledge, so, during a break, we seized the opportunity for a photo shoot

And here we are behind the sledge.

Euphonium and baritone.

The key players, our solo cornets.

Our solid middle - baritone, horn and second cornet.

Time for a break, and a pep talk from our MD.  One player doesn't seem to be taking it seriously.

Euphoniums, (or is it Euphonia?) are versatile! At the second event our bass player was unwell, so our talented MD stepped in with his Euph and did a sterling job of the Eb bass part.

Does his best.  But is it good enough?

Remember - add three flats and play in bass clef.
